Callejón de la Loma runs up the hill above central Cabarete. The elevation brings cooler temperatures and better breezes than the coast, and the views over the bay are worth the drive. It is a long-term resident area, the people who live here have been in Cabarete a while and chose space and quiet over beach access.
The Loma is where established Cabarete residents often relocate when they want more room and less noise. Houses here tend to have gardens, terraces, and actual space, rare on the main strip. The tradeoff is that you need transport for everything.
